About Wim du Clou

I have a qualification with ASP, but have always worked using PHP. I use CSS, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, Photoshop CSS , PHP, MySQL, and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) when developing websites.

I am a hard working, quick thinking, and level-headed individual and am prepared to create any sample of code to show you my skill.

I was born on 3rd December 1985 in Durban, South Africa and have been living in the United Kingdom since 2007. If there is anything you would like to know, please feel free to contact me.

I am positive, enthusiastic and eager to learn. I also offer flexibility, adaptability, and a wealth of fresh ideas. I pick up new skills easily, and I am willing to work hard to prove myself. 

From the supplied website design (.psd) I would code all the WebPages(.html/.php) and scripts(.css/.js) if needed, and set up any required databases (phpMyAdmin / MySQL / SQL), organize the domain pointing and the hosting account.

If any emails needed to be associated with that domain I would also get them created. Once the website was ready I would then add Meta tags to all the pages, made sure that the text contained relevant keywords and was optimized for search engines.

Besides creating various websites, there are a few tailor made systems that I have created, to give you an example of what I can do, I have compiled a list below:

• I have dealt with a number of UK and Australian co reg companies sourcing new business leads.
• Have integrated a sms shortcode service into our system that can receive texts.
• Adding affiliate tracking scripts to existing websites.
• Created a Posted tracking system, which was used to track posted leads, labels, postage costs ect
• Setting up custom branded landing pages for affiliates.
• I have managed online newsletter distributions.
• Dealing with customer feedbacks.
• Setting up email accounts for all staff members.
• Domain registration / renewals - managed -+2000 domains details.
• Setting up and managing hosting accounts.
  
  
• Created an online and phone booking system, and this system included things that could:
  • Display an up to date live availability calendar, which includes availability slots, and how many people are already booked in for any selected date.
  • Nearest venue locater via a postal code searcher.
  • Send confirmation texts to a client's mobile (with a url to access more info)
  • Email client their booking confirmation
  • Email clients booking information at there selected venue
  • Booking Diary - contained all clients info which was emailed weekly to each venue
  • Booking confirmation page for clients to access there confirmation online.
  • When a user does a booking, it also had the ability to show various bonuses in the confirmations if the client quoted certain codes.
  • Updating/Adding new venues into the system.
    
    
• Created systems that generate reports on various data:
  
  • Venue booking totals, venue rescheduled totals, venue cancelled totals, invoice tracking, Member registrations, affiliate referrals, purchases, bookings ect
  • Player rescheduled totals; booking codes used, ect
  • Stats on bookings taken by each staff member, staff bookings incentives
